Ship first

Only live links get posted. Not mockups, not repos, not "almost done". If a real person can open it in a browser right now, it belongs on the shelf. It does not need to be impressive. It needs to be live.

Encouragement by default

Comments are for encouragement and curiosity. If you want honest critique on your own demo, turn on Open to critique when you post. Harsh feedback on a post that did not ask for it gets removed, and repeat offenders lose commenting. Junior developers quit after one brutal comment. We are not doing that here.

• Good: "Solid build. What did you use for the sales report?"
• Good, on an opted-in post: "The checkout flow lost me at step 3. A progress indicator would help."
• Not here: "This is basic." "Why would anyone use this?"

Reactions, not ratings

Solid build. Useful idea. Clean UI. Big improvement. Pick the one that fits. There are no stars, no scores and no downvotes, and there never will be.

Keep links alive

Free-tier hosts sleep and expire. We check every demo link daily and email you if it goes dark. A directory full of dead links destroys credibility with exactly the employers this place exists to attract. Wake it up or update the link.

What gets removed

• Harassment, slurs, or personal attacks. Immediate ban.
• Spam, affiliate dumps, and posts that are advertisements pretending to be demos.
• Projects that are not yours. Credit collaborators in the description.
• Anything illegal or that exposes other people's private data.

Sessions are booked right here, open to freelancers, startup founders and startup developers. Your seat is yours: the join link is for you, so please do not pass it on.

Reporting

Every post has a report option in its menu. Moderators review the queue daily. If it is urgent, email support@zancommunity.com.
